College Player of The Year NomineesThis is a featured page

Published April 22nd
1. Matt Danowski, A, Duke, Sr. (29, 41, 13 games)
Can you say he put up a quiet 70 points?
2. Mike Leveille, A, Syracuse, Sr. (33, 22, 12 games)
With the season winding down, the next step for Levielle is putting together a postseason resume to go alongside Gait, Powell, etc.
3. Danny Glading, A, Virginia, Jr. (21, 30, 13 games)
He’s controlling the ball and putting up points with the best creating attackmen in the country.
4. Steven Brooks, M, Syracuse, Sr. (20, 11, 12 games)
Two and one in a win over Albany — right on par for the year’s most surprising breakout middie.
5. Zack Greer, A, Duke, Jr. (43, 21, 13 games)
Army limited him to one goal on four shots in Adam Fullerton’s career day.
6. Kevin Buchanan, M, Ohio State, Sr. (35, 22, 12 games)
His six goals and two assists were overshadowed by teammate Joel Delgarno’s 9 and 1 (and the record-setting crowd) in the Bucks’ rainy 20-13 win over Denver. He’s the nominee list’s most glaring omission.
7. Joey Kemp G, Notre Dame, Sr. (6.62, 116, 62.7% in 11 games)
Kemp was good in wins over Quinnipiac and Lehigh, but with Ohio State and the GWLL tourney on the horizon, the meat of the Irish season remains.
8. Paul Rabil, M, Hopkins, Sr. (17, 9, 10 games)
His Saturday was better than the one goal, one assist performance would suggest as Rabil is creating off of his dodges as he was at the end of last year.
9. Max Seibald, M, Cornell, Jr. (21, 5, 12 games)
He had three goals in a loss to Princeton, but only got four of his 12 shots on net. He’ll need to improve on that to lead the Big Red past Brown and head into the NCAA tournament.
10. Jordan Burke, G, Brown, Jr. (6.16, 160 svs, 69% in 12 games)
Somewhat off his game in a comeback win over Providence, Burke’s got two big ones to prove his mettle.
